Mouth of Waller Creek Tunnel
Forever bicycles 2014.(2) Artist Ai Weiwei, Chinese
The sculpture is made up of 1,254 bicycles. The work alludes to the Forever brand of bicycles that flooded China’s streets during the artist’s childhood yet remained financially out of reach for many. With the sky as a backdrop, the dizzying structure of steel, light and shadow becomes a seemingly infinite puzzle.
