At this time, the neighborhood has not received notice from the City that a formal application has been submitted by Parks and Recreation Dept. to vacate the Bierce Ln. ROW. 

 

Several months ago however various neighborhood groups proactively collaborated to draft a letter in opposition to the partial alley closure and that letter was sent to Mayor Adler and all city council members.

The letter resulted in several meetings with various council members and their staff (included a few who did not understand the specific details related to the location and closure).
